Life Update

Hey lovelies,

Huge apologies for the radio silence – life has been pretty hectic, it’s no excuse but hey I’m only human right?

Some of you know I returned to work over the summer which has been great, then followed summer hols, an then before we knew it,B Boy was back at school and now Christmas is almost round the corner!

So what’s going on these days I hear you cry, well after a long time off searching for a new job, being cut off by HMRC, then finding out they overpaid(don’t even get me started) I finally saw light at the end of the tunnel in an unexpected place….3 months down the line I love it! No really, I’ve had many jobs over the years and whilst my job has taken me to unfamiliar territory, I can honestly say I really am enjoying my life.

One thing I’ve not yet got to grips with is the home life/work balance, but the hubz and little man have been so supportive and I’m trying not to sweat the small stuff, but honestly I’ve no idea how women out there hold down a job, work 40+hrs, be a mum and and wifey and manage the house all at the same time. (and if any of you say get a cleaner.. trust me the thought has already crossed my mind)

So what’s in store for me and blogging, well there’s lot’s of exciting things ahead.  I’m in the process of updating the look and feel of my site, as well as a new laptop to help with my work to, thanks to the wonderful gift from the hubz.

So if you guys can bear with me just a little while longer whilst I promise to be more present over here, but if you can’t wait, just tune in to my Instagram or Facebook channels for more regular updates.

Loves ya

Long time no speak…Update!

I know its been a while and I’m sorry lovelies…but its been for good reason, a few changes in life and left me with less time to blog, BUT I’m not going anywhere I just need to move things around and make a little extra time.

So what’s the skinny?

Well not me for starters…jokes aside as many of you know my weightloss journey has been rocky so decided to take a time out from group and go see the doc. I just found it difficult to accept that having been on plan since April that just under half a stone was an acceptable loss. As it turns out some of my meds are messing with the weight loss. But we’re trying some alternatives and I’m still on plan, but I’m not returning to SW for a little while. I am however geared up with my fitbit, fitness pal and a low fat diet and it seems my new motivation is helping as of the start of July I’m noticing a loss in inches – my jeans are so much a squeeze and I’ve found myself reaching for my belt which is a positive sign!

Another great motivator is I have a new job!!! Yep after months of unemployment and a slow fall back into depression, the fates have dealt me a better hand for the next half of the year! It’s nothing glamorous but for me – it’s great, I’m learning an entirely new industry and have a new focus.

In between all this I’ve been trying to work on how to fit blogging in as I’ve always been in the lucky position of either working from home and having the time whilst I was out of work. So I’m still trying to figure out what’s going to be best for me and for you guys.

I have been trying all kinds of hair and beauty products and also trying out new recipes in the kitchen too all of which I’ll be posting up over the coming days. So if you’re still with me, hang in there I’ve lots of great things to share with you. If you need a quick fix remember you can always catch up on all my thoughts and shenanigans over on my other channels.

Have a great week lovelies

Time To Change Things Up!

I know I’ve been a little absent from my blog recently but I’m back and with a fresh approach and passion for writing again!

This year has  surprisingly presented me with challenges, mainly at work and affected my home life, so not too long ago I made the decision to change things up, for my family and for my own sanity.  I’m no longer part of the Stella & Dot family, nor have I decided to continue with Younique.  Whilst the last 3 years have been a fantastic journey with Stella & Dot and I made a success of my business, I felt it time to move on to greener pastures. Younique was never meant to be a venture but I just fell into it.  Both brands equally great with fantastic products, but I now choose to be a consumer rather than a brand ambassador, with this in mind I have taken down the shopping tabs on my blog so no more selling – Yay!

I have also decided to get rid of my old business name and have gone with something more simple and that pretty much sums me up.  So from herein just call me Miss Naddy!

The content of my blog will be more authentic and not based around the companies I have represented.  I will have more time to truly focus on what I really love and bring my blog back from the dead.

B boy is happy he’s got his mum back, and hubz is probably more pleased that home cooked meals are back on the menu (that and I’m not out working in the evening anymore)  So I’m back in the zone lovelies and I can’t wait to share with you all my upcoming news and reviews.

Have a great day and stay fabulous.

Time to get a spring in your step!

So January brings dark days and cold weather, but that doesn’t dampen the spirits of a Stella & Dot stylist like me!

This month brought me rewards, encouragement, support and more importantly a  new collection The all new spring collection landed earlier this month and whilst I’ve been busy ordering new samples and booking in parties to debut the collection, I can finally take a moment and share a few of my favourite pieces from the new line.

So at the end of last year, we were given a capsule collection as a teaser of what was to come, with the Norah collection.  It definitely didn’t disappoint, we were sold out on the earrings and necklace at such a fast rate, I knew it was going to be a winner.

Preview released in December 2013 – Norah collection – capsule collection went on sale.

Immediately I was struck by the colour, which I absolutely love! Freesia was noted as one of the hottest spring colours to watch in the Pantone fashion colour report for SS14, Other notable colours which have already been seen on the high street was :

A mixture of deep rich colours as well as soft dusky pastels, the perfect combination of colours to suit all palettes.
The new spring collection from Stella & Dot was filled with colour and styles from across the board.  From sharp and edgy styles to classic and more traditional but Blythe Harris and her amazing team looked at gypset as a source of inspiration.
What is this ‘Gypset’ you talk about?  I know I must admit I hadn’t heard of the term before now, but it is an amalgamation of gypsy and jet set!  So think bright colours, boho themes, bold designs, striking patterns, faraway exotic destinations and you’ll have ‘gypset’
Sardinia necklace & bracelet

Makena Necklace

The jewellery had just the right balance of metals versus colour this season, which was great as I love to have variety for my clients to see at their parties.  The main colours seen this season were soft pastels and a lot of bold reds, greens and of course yellow!

One of my favourite’s this season was a beautiful statement piece called the Elodie a beautiful, mixed stoned necklace filled with soft green and coral hues.

Elodie – pretty and elegant.

The popular and stunning Somervell  necklace now has 2 new additions to the family, Silver and peach!
I added the silver to my collection, I love the gorgeous black stones which give it a luxe look.

More is more when you layer up! Somervell in silver teamed up with Sutton necklace.

The peach version is also very beautiful and looks very elegant and will add that extra sparkle to your day or evening outfit.

A new sparkly bracelet was too introduced which will complete the somervell and look great stacked with our Stella & Dot favourites which is the Amelie available in silver, gold and peach.

Amelie bracelet in peach, worn with Jacinthe  bracelet and Jackie link bracelet.

One of the more long awaited pieces finally made it in to the new collection.  As a stylist we are always asked for what we don’t have, one of the biggest sellers for us since Stella & Dot arrived on our shores was the very cool renegade bracelet, many have imitated but you just cannot beat the quality and craftsmanship of our best-seller.

With sales increasing for the likes of Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs I too was mesmerised by the rose gold trend (but went with gold and tortoise shell in the end!) and with that, we were pleased to show off our new rose gold renegade, the perfect accessory to wear with your watch!

Stack with tribute bracelet & your fave rose gold watch!

The bags and scarves had new additions and saw lots of laser cut designs.  What’s great about Stella & Dot is the laser cut design used on their accessories is a patented design and exclusive to them only, though with it being a growing trend I’m sure we’ll see very similar styles out on the high street.

I won’t cover everything in the collection as I want to leave you to discover the rest, but you will see it’s worth checking out.
I honestly feel that it really is a great collection which offers variety to suit all tastes.

To see the whole collection, visit my online boutique where you can shop online. (Delivery 3-5 days) or host a party and earn yourself free accessories.
One of my Christmas hostesses managed to bag herself £150 of jewellery and accessories, most of which she spent on the the new spring line, which was perfect timing as she is booked to go on a beach holiday next month and now she’ll be the most stylish woman in the resort! So it’s worth thinking about getting the girls round for a get together with friends and bagging your favourite items for FREE.
