March Favourites

So with all the many purchases I’ve made last month I wanted to share a few of my favourite discoveries with you all.

The Bodyshop British Rose Body Butter

I was given a sample of this gorgeous body butter in my You Beauty box last month.which I was quite excited about as Rose is one of my favourite scents so receiving a generous 50ml pot I couldn’t wait to lather up.

BS Rose

For me there’s just nothing quite like the smell of a rose, it’s delicate and sweet smelling but a subtle sweetness. I always think elegance when I think of the scent of a rose.

The Bodyshop launched a whole range and the body butter is the first to have glow enhancing rose essence. It’s pearlescent in colour  and light in texture. Recommended for normal to dry skin and absorbs well.  I’m a sucker for anything from The Bodyshop and thoroughly enjoyed using this product and can’t wait to try more from the range. The Body Butter is from £6 and available in 50ml and 200ml tubs.

Meruyama Melting Cleansing Balm

So I reviewed this amazing hot cloth cleansing balm last month and would have to say it’s definitely one of my favourites and will be a staple for me.  It smells great, works really well by literally dissolving your make up (including removal of mascara) and leaves my skin feeling so soft and amazing after. Fortune Favours the Brave Palette

As many of you know I was lucky enough to attend Make Up Revolution’s 2nd birthday party (read all about it HERE) and I was privy to a few new products which were due for launch later in the year one of which was the coveted Fortune Favours The Brave with BritishBeauty Blogger.

One of the reasons I love the brand is the amount of brand new products they launch and the frequency.  Just before you can say “you know what I need?” you get the email saying – “just launched”  Much to all our surprise this palette was launched much sooner than any of us expected and anyone who attended the party knew this was an opportunity to be missed, and so I immediately ordered.  Like all my Make Up Revolution products it did not disappoint!

FFB

30 gorgeous colours to suit all skin tones and versatile enough to take you from day to night.  The colours are rich and really pigmented with mattes and shimmers encased in a metal pallete casing.  This is a collaborative piece with Jane of BritishBeauty Blogger. This has been the most talked about eyeshadow palette over the last month and you can see why. Priced at £9.99 available online and at your nearest Superdrug

Emma Hardie Protect & Prime SPF30

I received a sample of this gem of a product and I’ve been converted!  This lightweight multi use cream is a must for anyone.  It’s non greasy (yay!) and also packed with a broad spectrum sun protector SPF30, giving you 8-10 hours of protection from UVA & UVB rays.

Despite my natural skin tone, us sisters too need to protect our skin and I think I’ve found my summer holiday skincare essential.  I love how light and non greasy it is and on application it absorbs well into the skin. It’s delicately scented and just feels amazing on your skin. It can be used alone in place of a regular moisturiser or on top for added protection.  It can also be used as a make up primer .  I did try it on top of my day cream but found it was a bit too rich together for my skin(combo/oily).

This little pot of goodness comes in at £45 for 50ml I received a 5ml sample, and I am still using it – a little really goes a long way with this cream.  I highly recommend this product and would suggest you make it a staple for the summer.

So there you have it, my favourites from last month.  Have you tries any of these products? Tell me what have been your favourites last month?

Until next time lovelies!

Miss Naddy

Weekend Shopping Style

It’s clear to see Spring has finally arrived.  We’ve had such beautiful weather over the last week too!  Wednesday had me rushing to get the maxi dresses out.  With our good old British weather being as unpredictable as it always is I’m under no illusion that the warm weather is here to stay so we should just appreciate and enjoy every day while it’s here.
I did do a mini shop last weekend, nothing major a few essential tops and jeans to ease myself through the start of the new season.  I imagine many of us will be hitting the shops tomorrow to update our wardrobe. Today’s Fashion Friday is part inspired by my own wardrobe and generally a typical style I love to wear!
So hide your uggs,  and tuck your jumpers away, it’s time to get smart with style add some light layers -you never know if it’s going to be a scorcher or showers!
What will you be shopping for this weekend? What new purchases have you made?  Let me know.  If you’re stuck for idea’s check out Pinterest boards for inspiration or follow me on Instagram to see what’s caught my eye!
Have a fabulous weekend lovelies!

My February Favourites – Health & Beauty Edit

ff7

So this is a first for me.  I thought I’d share what products I was loving over the last month.

1. Make Up Revolution Pro Looks Palette in Stripped & Bare

I’ve been familiar with Make Up Revolution, have seen them around and have owned a few items from them in the past.  ff3But it wasn’t until I started looking more into blogging that I discovered just how amazing they are as a brand and clearly a bloggers favourite.

One of  the recent items I picked up was the Stripped & Bare Palette.  Originally launched with 2 other limited collections –  Big Love and Sleep, Makeup, Repeat.  Each palette contains 3 collections made up of 5 eyeshadows  to help you create your own looks. I’ve been mainly using 2 of the 3 palettes as it’s a touch to light for me but they’ve been great for my days and nights out and at just £6 you can’t go wrong with these beauties.

2. Soap and Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter

ff4

I love a good lathering up in the shower, but it’s just gotten a whole lot more fun thanks to Soap & Glory.  This shower butter was part of the Hattie Stewart Gift Box I treated myself to at Christmas from Boots.

The label describes it as a luxe shower cream and it really is truly indulgent in every way.  It’s thicker than the average body cream in consistency but the minute you start putting it on your skin, you are instantly teased with the beautiful smells of Almonds and Macadamia, I can only liken it to cookies or fresh baking.  I’ve always said a girls should smell edible, well Soap and glory can deliver on that front. At £7 I’d say very reasonable considering how gorgeous the product is.  I absolutely love this wash which I’m sadly coming to the end of, but you can guarantee I’ll be popping to Boots and making a purchase of this gorgeous cream!

3. Cow Shed Anti Ageing Night Serum

ff5I was given a sample of this back in November when it was featured in my beauty box, but I never got round to using it til before Christmas.  When I did try it, I was in love!

The serum is more of an oil but it is extremely light and sinks into the skin immediately. Before this I was using Clarins rebalancing oil, so if you’re familiar with their oils, I can confirm Cowshed’s is much lighter in texture.  The scent is to just beautiful.  I can’t put my finger on the scent itself, but it feels somewhat familiar.  It’s perfect for bedtime as it’s soothing, relaxing and just so great for your skin.

After a good nights sleep my skin feels and looks so much better.  As a member of the combination/oily club I’d highly recommend as it really does balance the skin and I noticed within the week I had less shine during the course of my make up day!

As I’m verging close to requiring anti ageing products I figured this would be perfect to ease me in.  Cowshed state that the serum targets all anti-ageing concerns including helping to increase cell renewal, firms and plump the skin, improve tone, texture and elasticity,  balances oil production, and and much more.  It’s also suitable for those with sensitive skin.

At £48 it is one of the more expensive products I have purchased but I would have to say it has been one the best investments I’ve made.  It comes in a pump action bottle, which delivers the smallest amount of serum per shot but enough to use for your evening beauty routine.

4. Herbal Teas

Since starting my food combining, I’ve taken to having tea again.  A new tea I discovered recently whilst perusing the aisles in Sainsburys was Pukka Womankind.  Designed to help women balance and bloom, it’s flavoured with Cranberry, Rose and Vanilla. A light and delicious flavour tea which I love to have in the afternoon whilst working away.

I’m quite the night owl and often suffer insomnia, thanks to Clipper Snore & Peace, those nights are now far and few.  I kid you not, I’ve had meds that have taken longer to put me to sleep.  I’ve been drinking this tea since last year and just love it. I’m asleep within a good hour of drinking.

A mixture of chamomile, lemon balm and lavender make the perfect little cocktail to to gently ease you into slumberland!

5. Blistex Daily Lip Conditioner

This is hands down my most used, recommended and loved product.  Whilst the sun is shining so beautifully outside, that wind is there to remind us that we are still in winter and with that comes danger to your pretty lips.

I use this little pot of goodness all day everyday.  I especially love putting it on at bedtime and wake up with soft, supple lips ready to kiss my boys!

Have you tried any of these products before?  What’s been your February favourites? I’d love to hear from you.
