The #nextTake12 Challenge

So  this week, I was lucky enough to attend Next Bloggers Network Event, the 2nd since their launch.  I will be posting about my day out, but what I learnt was that they are an extremely proactive group, and also very involved with their community as I saw at the blogger awards.

Having discovered all of the above, I’ve committed myself to be more involved in the community and take part in the mini challenges – plus it makes fun content which I always love creating.  So whilst on my journey home from the event I decided to see what I could participate in and discovered they had already launched their #nextTake12 challenge, which was a great reminder of how Next completely understand the need for late night shopping and decisions made in the small hours!

After trying to finalise an outfit for the blogger event on Tuesday, I decided at 10pm Sunday evening that I just had to have a new pair of shoes which as it turned out was from the kids section and bonus if I opened my account that day I got £10 off my order – it was a win-win situation!

So there’s proof that Next completely understand the nocturnal shopper like myself (I’ve always said that my best ideas come at night) I ordered late night and picked them up Monday evening!

To celebrate Next’s fabulous ordering process, which in case you hadn’t heard if you order by Midnight, you order will be delivered in store the next day.  They send you an email AND a text to let you know when it’s in store.  If you’re anything like me and worry about what to wear at the 11th hour, then this fantastic service is for you and most definitely rivals many other high street brands!

So with only 12 to choose from the New In line, I decided to go with gift ideas for my family!

Many of you know that I’ve become an aunt for the first time this year so jumped at the chance at picking out a pretty dress for my gorgeous niece and something cool for my little man.

So here goes….

#nextTake12

What have been you’re favourite’s from Next?  Are you a night shopper like me?  let me know.

PS can you spot a cheeky 13th Gift idea?? xoxo

Shoesday Tuesday

Pinch Punch lovelies!! Yep September is here, and with the weather we’ve had lately, I’d say Autumn has arrived with a rainy slap in the face.  So time to pack up your Havaianas and move on to new shoe trends.   With this in mind, here are a few of my favourites online and in-store.

Have a fabulous day!

Feeling Pumped about Flats!

Whether it’s you’re favourite pair of tennis shoes, gladiator style pumps, floral, studded or even a little heel, the ballerina pump has come a long way from the commuter shoes you stuffed in your bag or stuck on after a night out in those killer heels!

So fear not girls wearing your pumps will have you on trend this year.  But why not experiment a little.  You’re going to see a lot of ankle straps and heeled pumps, but I dare you to try!  Go have fun with your footwear!

Have a fabulous weekend.

Happy Shoes-day lovelies!

This week, I want you all to unleash the animal in you and stomp those feet in a pair of wild shoes (or cool print trainers)

Animal print is one of those timeless trends then never goes out.  What’s great is anyone can wear it,  no matter how wild or tame you are.  My sisters are wild cats through and through, they rock their prints like leaders of the pack.

I on the other hand prefer to purr like a kitty and rock a pair of killer print heels.  Though this season there have been a number of beautiful animal print coats, that I may just have to ROAR!!

FASHION FRIDAY – Mad About Metallics

Hooray it’s the weekend!  I can’t lie, I’ve been looking forward to today for a long time now – It’s half term next week so for me it means at least 30 mins extra in bed before B boy wakes me up -it’s better than nothing right?

So with the weekend here it’s time check out another look.  This week I decided to go with a trend as opposed to our weekly outfit.  Let’s talk about metallics for a moment.

It was hot on the catwalk and set to be a big trend for SS15. It’s all about bright shiny metals, and what’s great is you don’t have to take this trend too literally, otherwise we’re all going to look like we wrapped ourselves in tin foil!

There are many great ways to rock this look.  I for one am a big fan of accessorising so for me, this would be a great way to wear this style.  For those not too keen on wearing metallics H2T (head to toe) I strongly recommend this is the route you take.  You know I love my make up and jewellery so why not pick up a fab nail paint or a gorgeous eye shadow or if you’re feeling daring, get a bold bright metallic lippy.

Jewellery can also be used to show off this trend, with rose gold being ever popular, it’s a great way to go metallic.  I’d also look for brushed gold/silver jewellery such as the Sutton Necklace or Arrison Bracelets from Stella & Dot.

So I leave you with a few picks to help inspire you on how to wear this style, if you’re like me you’ll be mad about metallics in no time!

Have a great weekend all!

xoxo
