Is it summer yet?

Who else has had enough of this weather?

Yeah me too! As soon as the sun shines, I begin to smile and get sucked into the false hope of a little warm weather.

I’ve heard rumour of a heatwave after the Easter holidays so with this in mind, I decided to focus on the positive and start getting the wardrobe prepared for brighter days!

I went out last week and was caught out by the all day sunshine, and found myself window shopping dressed head to toe in black, and grey UGGS.  Had the sun not been out I would have just blended in to the dark grey skies we have been more accustomed to!

My wardrobe is somewhat better prepared for the warmer days, bright coloured Tees, cropped jeans, light blazers are always firm staples of mine. Not forgetting shoes, sandals, heels, wedges galore!

I’m also excited about the forthcoming launch of the summer collection with Stella & Dot  If the Spring line is anything  to go by, we are in for a real treat!

Sometimes you just don’t want to go all out with on-trend styles and you want to keep it simple! As a mum to a very active 4 year old, I often have every intention of committing to   fashion and so always make sure I accessorise well to give that finishing to touch to what I’m wearing. A great example of this :

Tie dye is making a comeback, unlike the 90’s you don’t have to go all out with it, so go subtle like a tee like this Navy and White dip dye from New Look, teamed up with a simple pair of skinny or crop jeans give you that light summery look.
Add a pop of colour with a pair of heels or sandals.  Orange always makes me smile so I went with a gorgeous pair from ASOS
Now the fun part – Accesories! So I started with the Fiona Bib a gorgeous ivory statement necklace, with the Eden studs (rule of thumb, if you’re going bold and big on your neck, keep it simple on the ears!)

I’m a massive fan of bracelet stacking so I think the Eden bracelet with the Love and Meredith would fit just right! But you don’t have to stop there, there is no right or wrong when it comes to your arm candy, so keep going if you want to!

So there you have it, simple, easy and looks great!

All Stella & Dot jewellery is available to buy online or exclusively through an independent stylist like me!

In my next blog, I will tell you more about my life with Stella & Dot so hopefully you’ll start to get a better picture of who I am and what I’m about 😀
